ABOUT THEA

Thea strives to help others with their horse-human connection, and encourage people to adopt a welfare-led approach to their riding and training. She strongly believes that horses deserve a voice, and through methods that value consent, she allows the horse to feel, express themselves, and be heard.

Thea follows "connection rather than control" in her training, and her priority is that the horse is a happy, comfortable and willing partner. She uses positive reinforcement as well as gentle pressure and release, to work in a way that the horse finds clear and easy to understand. She dreams of a world in which horses are partners, and are treated with the kindness that they deserve.

Thea has performed and demonstrated at the Great British Festival of horsemanship, the British Liberty Show, the Heart of Horsemanship Christmas Show tour, Beyond the Bridle and more.  She is comfortable in front of large crowds, and has been commended for her clear, articulate and mature presentation style. Her liberty and trick act with her miniature Shetland Popcorn has captured the hearts of many, and her bridleless riding journey with pony Yoda continues to inspire.

Alongside her new horsemanship journey, Thea started social media, to document her learning, training and results. She instantly sparked the interest of thousands, and now has successful pages on three social media platforms, YouTube (51K), Instagram (19K) and TikTok (28K). She has worked with multiple brands to produce engaging and unique content, and gets regular feedback from viewers about how her content has helped their relationship with their horses, and taught them about liberty and bridleless.

She is based in Oxfordshire.
